First of all, check out my GitHub to keep up-to-date about my programming https://github.com/brunorsreis and find some projects, scripts, or use cases about my studies.
This exam is one of those that I most enjoy taking. The approach here was setting up some weeks with my twin brother where we were located on two different continents, making it work to have a meeting and study together with each other, real teamwork. I am grateful to have a brother like my twin. On top of that, I have been working on my skills in Enterprise Architecture, and it feels good to improve my Cloud Enterprise Architecture skills. Differently of the Google Data Engineer exam (https://www.techdatabasket.com/2023/01/22/exam-preparation-google-cloud-certified-professional-data-engineer/) that for me it was the most difficult so far; for this exam, I had to learn new concepts, and in some cases business terms such as B2B, B2C, etc. Therefore, before taking the adventure of doing the exam, I decided to buy the book “Architecting Google Cloud Solutions: Learn to design robust and future-proof solutions with Google Cloud technologies” written by Victor Dantas to give me a glimpse of Google Cloud Architecture, besides my professional experience:
I did not buy this book thinking of the certification exam because this is not the book’s primary goal. Still, nevertheless, the book gives an understanding of how to design solutions with Google Cloud, which plays a significant role in the exam. A fascinating surprise is that I knew the name could be familiar in Brazil. As a Brazilian myself, I googled the author and found that he is not only Brazilian but has been living in the same country and city as I am in Sweden. So I messaged him for a conversation, and we will discuss and meet in person – technical talks and discussions are always great, and even more with someone you have just read the book.
For the exam, I would suggest the webinar that Google provides (click here), the course (click here), and the following documentation below that is already thinking on the professional certification of this exam:
- Google Cloud documentation
- Google Cloud solutions
- Official Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect Study Guide
Google is so great that it even provides some questions as examples (click here), but I’m not particularly eager to look at Internet questions because I am always concerned if they can disturb my preparation or make me anxious. However, the Google Architecture community is something that I dug into almost everyday while preparing for this exam: https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Architecture-Framework/ct-p/cloud-architecture-framework
Another option is the FreeCodeCamp: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/google-cloud-digital-leader-certification-study-course-pass-the-exam-with-this-free-20-hour-course/
You will rock this exam by following the documentation above and reading (if you want) the book above.
After some days, I received the Google e-mail with my approval as below:
I wish you happy studies.
